Well it’s Friday, so we had to see what the far reaches of carry cases and handbag design can bring us. This is where we stumbled upon Nobuko Nishida’s “Love and Peace”. Don’t know if this is going to take over Louis Vuitton’s throne in women’s handbags, but you never know.

Oki-Ni never seems to dissappoint, the Tanner Krolle Boxing Bag is typical this London-based design house’s style. The only problem with their products is the limited quantity on which they sell. All Oki-Ni products are limited edition, so good luck finding the bag.

Well here’s where it get’s complicated. We are doing a review on Samsonite’s warranty policy, and being that Samsonite has so many products and lines, it is a little hard to decipher where their warranty lies, but we’ve done our best to decipher the language and simplify for everyone. Since we don’t carry their American Tourister line, we’ll exclude that for the moment. The biggest benefit of this warranty policy is the breadth of repair stations in Samsonite’s network, if you are outside the United States, just pay for the repairs and send your repair receipt and proof of purchase to Samsonite, and they’ll take care of it.

Smythson created a great travel wallet that let’s you store your travel necessities like a passport, boarding pass and other documents in a neat and clean little leather pouch. The classic travel wallet reminds of us of a turn-of-the-century train boarding pouch.

We just came across a laptop line from Lifepod with some unique colors and patterns. Their laptop bags are called Modpod and are very 60’s retro, kitsch and cool. Great for the end of the Summer. They come in bags fitting laptops with 12″, 15″ and 17″ monitors, have an interior divider, velcro closing flap and foam patting.

Over the next few weeks, we plan on completing an in-depth study on the various warranty policies of the major luggage and briefcase brands. Unfortunately we are going to be limited to the brands that we actually carry on simplecase.net, but we hope that this will be an exhaustive survey into our existing brands, and will continue as we add more high-end luggage lines to the site. So look forward to individual warranty reviews for each of our lines, as well as a final comparison in a few weeks.
Also, I’d like to note that over the weekend, we have just put up Zero Halliburton’s full-line. We have also added two new great luggage lines to the site. We’d like to welcome Boyt and Briggs & Riley to the collection.

Gear Live had an extensive review on the Tom Bihn Brian Cell laptop sleeve. In their review, they gave the sleeve a 10 / 10 rating. We can’t say that we’ve seen the bag yet, but we always like to see great products come out of the mainstream manufacturers. Gear Live’s Final Verdict is that the bag is “…light as a feather, yet offers top-notch protection for notebook computers.” It also seems to be the only sleeve that we’ve heard of that has both a foam padding and a plastic shell imbedded in the casing. It’s great to hear, but being that we love great design, we have to say that the sleeve leaves much to be desired.
