Field Tested: OGIO Hip Hop Review

December 28th, 2005

OGIO Hip Hop Messenger

We just field tested the 2006 version of the OGIO Hip Hop there are some great improvements to this year’s model, and the bag is surprisingly packed with features. It feels like I’m buying a new computer with all the things this bag can do. I’ve been using the black version for about , which has been surprisingly resistent to getting dirty, and is actually fairly easy to clean with some soap and water. The best part of this bag for me was the headphone exit port, you put your MP3 player (or your Walkman if that’s how you do things), it’s not necessarily a new thing for messengers these days, but I will never buy a daily bag without one now. The bag also comes for its own pockets for your cell phone (which is conveniently located at the top of the strap for easy access, and it has two mesh side pockets that allows you to keep a water bottle stored away for later. The actual bag fit my 15″ Dell Inspirion amazing well, but also seems able to fit a 17in extremely comfortably, and provides added protection within the bag with a hard plastic divider that kept all my belongings in place, even through my bumpy bike ride through downtown San Francisco.
