This is the bag for organization. OGIO created a very cool system to keep your items in-line for your needs. The greatest asset of the OGIO Metroid is the side-entry compartment for your laptop, which is one of the greatest features for quick access to the stuff you need. The Metroid can hold up to a 14.5″ screen on a laptop, which is more than enough for typical 15″ laptops. There are 3 compartments in this bag, one for your laptop, one for general use, and a final file-folder pocket that is surprisingly roomy and keeps you super organized for your trip. Also there is the standard pen pockets and a headphone exit port which are becoming more-and-more commonplace, but is necessity for our digital lives. One thing I’d like to see added to this bag in future years is a side-mesh water bottle compartment, but other than that thumbs up!

We just came across a laptop line from Lifepod with some unique colors and patterns. Their laptop bags are called Modpod and are very 60’s retro, kitsch and cool. Great for the end of the Summer. They come in bags fitting laptops with 12″, 15″ and 17″ monitors, have an interior divider, velcro closing flap and foam patting.

Gear Live had an extensive review on the Tom Bihn Brian Cell laptop sleeve. In their review, they gave the sleeve a 10 / 10 rating. We can’t say that we’ve seen the bag yet, but we always like to see great products come out of the mainstream manufacturers. Gear Live’s Final Verdict is that the bag is “…light as a feather, yet offers top-notch protection for notebook computers.” It also seems to be the only sleeve that we’ve heard of that has both a foam padding and a plastic shell imbedded in the casing. It’s great to hear, but being that we love great design, we have to say that the sleeve leaves much to be desired.
